Abput Mitte-Schnitte for sextet
The composition was written between 2017 and 2020.The title is ambiguous and refers to twelve episodes that immediately merge into each other, separated only by short cuts. The individual fragments of the movement resemble short film clips that transform in, sometimes abrupt, contrasts. Here, the different groupings of the ensemble alternate with soloistic sections. The composition concludes in a calm mood, with the musicians speaking and singing into their instruments the poem "Ehemals und jetzt" by the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin (1770-1843).
